Shipboard Protection System

The U.S. Navy has selected Northrop Grumman to develop the Shipboard Protection System (SPS), a system intended to protect virtually all types of naval vessels from asymmetric terrorist threats while at a dock, at anchor or during restricted maneuvering. The system will integrate visible and infrared imagers with radar to provide constant 360 degree situational awareness. |
